On April 15th of 1991, Dolonchampa Nazrul Foundation started its journey as a dedicated non-government organization at the heart of Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal. This organization, basically, stands as a tribute to the remarkable legacy of our Rebel Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. Founded by Sonali Kazi, daughter of Rezaul Karim and granddaughter of Nazrul Islam’s brother, our mission is grounded in the humble endeavor to honor and promote legacy of the celebrated Bengali poet, musician, and revolutionary Kazi Nazrul Islam. We are committed to preserving his works, promoting his ideals, and making his contributions known to the world. In addition to our focus on the life and works of Nazrul, we are also dedicated to community welfare. We believe in the transformative power of art and culture to inspire social change, and we work towards creating opportunities for marginalized communities. Join us in our mission to honor the legacy of Kazi Nazrul Islam and uplift our communities through the power of art and culture.

Dolonchampa Nazrul Foundation is registered with the Sub-Registrar and the type of NGO is Trust (Non-Government) bearing the INDIAN TRUST REGISTRATION ACT-1882 and the Registration Number is IV-1902-00683/2022.
