Promoting Culture and Tradition
Our Dolonchampa Nazrul Foundation was founded with the mission to promote the literary works of our Rebel poet Nazrul Islam. a prominent figure in Bengali literature, culture, and tradition. Nazrul Islam holds a dominating part in Bengali Literature. We organize cultural programs that showcase his poems and songs, with a focus on his contributions to the arts. Our goal is to preserve and celebrate Nazrul’s legacy, ensuring that his work continues to inspire and influence generations to come.
Special Program on Doctor’s day at Kabi Teertha Churulia

We remembered 62nd death anniversaty of Pramila Sengupta at Kabi Teertho Churulia
Every year on this day we honour special women who worked for the society, this year we faliciated Dr.Laxmi Sarkar Gandhi who is doctor and dance artist and Smt. Lalita Prashad who have donated blood for more than hundred times as Pramila Puruskar.On this Auspicious occasion we have organized one cultural program with different performer from various locations and Maharaj from Ramkrishna Mission was chief guest of yesterday’s program.
Warm Blanket Distribution
Kindness is like a warm blanket on a cold day. During the harsh winter months in West Bengal, marginalized and underserved individuals living in rural areas, streets, footpaths, and railway platforms struggle to survive without warmth. We recognize their plight and have undertaken a commendable initiative. To ensure a little comfort and warmth for them, we distribute blankets to these people who need them most. This noble endeavour aims to alleviate the suffering of the deprived and make a meaningful difference in their lives during the chilling winter season.
New Cloth Distribution
In Bengal, Eid and Durga Puja are the two most vibrant festivals of happiness, joy and enjoyment. These are also the festivals of new clothes. Yet, not all are fortunate enough to experience this happiness. Understanding this, we strive to make a positive impact through our cloth distribution program during these festive occasions. Targeting underprivileged individuals in roadside areas, footpaths, and slums, we provide new clothes to ensure everyone can partake in the festive spirit. This act not only fulfills a basic need but also spreads joy and happiness during these special celebrations.
Health Camps
Dolonchampa Nazrul Foundation is passionate about making healthcare facilities accessible for people belonging to underprivileged and economically backward sections. So, on behalf of DNF, we organize free healthcare camps to offer check-ups, tests, treatments, and medicines. Through our health camps, we also raise awareness among communities about various diseases and health tips. We’re thankful for the voluntary support of doctors and other health professionals. Our commitment lies in ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare, fostering well-being irrespective of financial constraints, and making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
Blood Donation Camps
As a part of our healthcare initiative, our organization also conducts blood donation camps to address the critical need for blood and save lives. We’re aware of the fact that thousands of deaths are caused annually in India due to blood scarcity. Regarding this issue, we organize multiple blood donation camps in different areas of Bardhaman. Collaborating with other NGOs, reputable hospitals and healthcare professionals, we aim to combat the crisis of blood scarcity. We extend heartfelt gratitude to our committed members and generous donors who make these camps successful, providing hope to those in dire situations.
Tree Plantation
Trees not only beautify the environment but also maintain ecological balance by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. But man-made deforestation has caused a real threat to our environment which can only be encountered by planting trees. We emphasize tree plantation to motivate people, seeing it as an act of environmental responsibility and a gift to future generations. Our efforts include planting trees and distributing saplings among communities, recognizing the significance of this simple and effective measure in preserving our planet for future generations.
